A Fishbone Diagram, also known as an Ishikawa Diagram or Cause-and-Effect Diagram, is a visual tool used to identify the root causes of a problem. It illustrates the potential causes as 'bones' radiating out from a central 'spine,' representing the main issue. To create one, start with the problem statement at the head of the fish. Then, list major categories of causes (bones) and branch out into specific sub-causes. An example might be identifying causes of a decline in cryptocurrency prices, with bones representing market trends, regulatory changes, and technical issues.
